Tubes

Baldwin Canoe Rental does have Tubes for rent on specific sections of the river. Many sections of the Pere Marquette are not suitable for tubing, and we do not allow tubes to be taken with other watercraft trips. We have one tubing trip available.

We are featuring “Tube Pro” float tubes, made specifically for commercial use. These tubes are heavy duty with canvass covers. They are large enough to accommodate adults of all sizes. We also have a supply of smaller tubes for children. All watercraft, including tubes require a U.S. Forest Service daily permit. This permit is included with rental of our tubes. We do not haul private tubes to or from the river, and no tubes (private or rental) are allowed to be towed behind any watercraft.

Due to the water temperature of the Pere Marquette, tubing is only practical during June, July, and August.

Rentals

Baldwin Canoe Rental strives to maintain top quality equipment at all times. We are known for our quality service and equipment. Each year we sell a number of used canoes and kayaks, and replace them with new ones to keep our fleet of rental equipment up to date. We have enough Old Town canoes in stock, (the most requested canoe) to be able to supply most requests on weekends. All of our Watercraft are inspected by the State of Michigan each year and are maintained in the highest quality.
